Learning

This is the age to learn. Learn, so that you can do what you want to do in the future. Well, I don’t know what to do in my future! Did that pop in your head as well? In that case, what we can do is follow whatever curriculum has been designed for us by experienced people. As we tread on that path, we realise what we like and what we don’t. What interests us and what doesn’t.
Learning is not about EXCELLING. Not according to me. It is more about knowing our weaknesses and overcoming them at the earliest. If I want to fool myself now saying that I know everything, then hello! I do need to look back. Well, one may fool themselves or their parents or friends and family. Trust me it won’t work.
Portraying that one knows a lot compared to others is a sin. The vibes it gives out often tends to hurt people until some time. And then people realise what you are doing and don’t give a damn about you.
At the same time, feeling low about temporary( quiz or a course or a semester) performance should not affect our spirit and the zeal inside us.
One last thing (so that I can keep it short):  Life is a long journey. You never knew when it began and won’t know when it will end. Outperforming our classmates in one quiz or a course shouldn’t be the motto. We have a huge world filled with a lot of problems ahead. Let's face it.

Disclaimer: My personal view without any intentions of hurting anyone. :)

Dream a dream

One hundred years from now,
It will not matter,
What kind of car I drove,
What kind of house I lived in,
How much I had in my bank,
Nor what my clothes looked like.
One hundred years from now,
It will not matter,
What kind of school I attended,
What kind of typewriter I used,
How large or small my church.
But the world may be. . .
A little better because. . .
I was important in the life of a child.

Eyes

The Sun is but a wisp of smoke compared to their fury
The Moon appears restless to their tranquility
The Ocean bows humbly to the depth of their love
So dark and lovely that the Sky is no match to them
The Earth has naught to say to the pain they can bear
So lively that the running River seems lifeless
And so magnificent that they left me dumbstruck
No wonder I was imprisoned in them and became a slave
Nothing in this universe has that power except your eyes
And I am madly and deeply in love with them

Well, this is my first blog post. Fell in love with this poem :) It's not written by me. But someone whom i know. :)
